Carolyn Regan

I became interested in visual and performing arts at university, where I worked with the Oxford Theatre Company.
Trustee

This was followed by some time with the New Shakespeare Company based in San Francisco and a number of arts organisations afterwards.

One of my early jobs during my 25 years in the NHS, was setting up innovative models of supported housing and employment training for people with severe and profound learning disabilities. I came to Action Space about seven years ago and have participated in the organisation growth and development, enjoying the opportunities of working as a team focussing on the opportunities that art offers to everyone. I am also on the Council of City University.

I was the Chief Executive of the Legal Services Commission (LSC) from September 2006 - March 2010. I then did freelance work including a review of child protection systems and services in Vietnam.

Since Ocotber 2010, I have been working as Chief Executive of the Childrens Legal Centre, a unique charity offering information, advice and legal representation to children, young people and their families, as well as international projects, policy and research.
