She has an engineering degree and post graduate qualification in management and manufacturing from Cambridge University, followed by six years at international strategic consulting firm Mars & Co and seven years at KPMG’s Transaction Services Strategy Group.

Karen was invited to join the board in 2008 after working with Action Space as a consultant over a number of years.
