Alan Ward has only recently joined our project. He is at the beginning of a journey to find his own voice through discovery and the exploration of different materials and processes. He has worked on both a large and small scale and has made a series of collages using mixed media, a series of paintings using unconventional tools and a series of glitter works on fabrics and paper. His approach is brief and fleeting and has a simplicity to it that is pure and direct. The work is sensitive and delicate and at times has a fairy tale quality to it.
