Ali Kamalati

Ali Kamalati works with many different mediums and has recently concentrated on large paintings, small paintings made in a series and the gradual creation of the book of Ali. This is a huge catalogue of painted and drawn images, a work in progress. Ali works intuitively, gradually adding shapes, objects and colour fields using a variety of brushes and tools. He over paints the earlier images, rebuilding the structure of the composition several times as the work gradually defines itself. His work is intimate and quirky and suggests animated events, objects and landscapes that capture the unique and extravert nature of the artist.
