An exhibition of stunning new artworks by the members of 'Our group Your group' was presented at the Elfrida Rathbone Camden in April.

'Our group Your group' is a group of parents with learning disabilities who meet at Elfrida Rathbone Camden on a weekly basis to share any ideas or worries they may have about bringing up children.

Over the past two years the group has been working with Action Space’s artist tutor Lisa Brown to develop their artistic practices and explore ways of sharing their love of art making with their children. The families had an opportunity to spend quality time together, a while creating artwork in a supportive environment and developing a valuable medium for communication. The art sessions became an extremely important part of their weekly routine.

The exhibition opened on the 22nd of April 2010 and the artwork was a celebration of the group’s individual and collective talent and commitment. Visitors included the Deputy Mayor of Camden, Councillor Lulu Mitchell.
