The Fair, held in Battersea Park, has an estimated 20,000 visitors, with several galleries exhibiting and selling their work. The Fair attracts people from all over the U.K and the world.
There was a selection of work on display at the Affordable Art Fair from all of the Action Space Studio groups and Young People groups across London. The participants attended the Fair and were understandably very proud of their achievements.
The Fair played an integral part in a month of celebrating Action Space on a national level. The Action Space exhibition stand attracted a great deal of attention, with incredibly positive feedback and approximately a third of the art work was sold, from large oil paintings to small ceramic pieces! Here is a small selection of the feedback in our guest book. (The Action Space Wandsworth artist, Nigel Kingsbury, had three pieces of work on display, which received several compliments).
"Brilliant, vibrant, energising."
"Nigel Kingsbury (Action Space Wandsworth artist) – fabulous!"
"Fantastic that AAF is supporting Action Space!"
"Great exhibition – such talent – keep going!"
"I loved it, there was so much positive energy around!"
"Great job! This is the best stand I have seen at the Fair. I really like the work."
"One of the best! If not the best! Thank you."
"There is an honesty and integrity about the work here, which stands out. Thank you."

We were delighted to have our new patron, Baroness Lola Young, officially open the Fair, alongside the Fair Founder, Will Ramsay. Her speech was very well received and honoured the achievement of Action Space artists and how delighted we were to be there (Please see attached photo with Baroness Lola Young and Action Space participant Jackie Murin. Jackie has been attending Action Space for several years and plans to take part in our new mentoring scheme and become an Action space volunteer).
The Fair would not have been so successful had it not been for the Action Space volunteers, who gave invaluable support. The participants, Trustees, staff and volunteers made a fantastic team!
