Under Glass

1.jpg
Under Glass was the second collaboration between Action Space and ULCH Arts (University College London Hospital).
13th December- May 2008

Attendance was in excess of 700 people. The exhibition was so successful that we were invited to extend the exhibition for another month, taking it up until May 2008.

Each of the Action Space groups worked together to produce a varied, vibrant and interesting site-specific exhibition for UCLH’s Pavement Galleries - 13 lightboxes set into the walkways of the hospital.

The work was a collection of abstract pieces looking at colour, transparency, shape and form. Using a variety of different media and materials, both man-made and organic and also including sculptural and photographic works. The work provided an exciting and fun journey around the hospital corridors.

Guy Noble UCLH Arts Curator said, “The Pavement Galleries are one of two changing exhibition spaces we have within the hospital and UCLH Arts was delighted to be hosting this exhibition of exciting new work from the Action Space artists. We aim to provide equal opportunities for the local community to exhibit their work whilst keeping to our policy of exhibiting only quality uplifting art for the user of the hospital to enjoy and Action Space’s new work achieved exactly that!”
