Voltaire Young People's Project
Action Space is delighted to announce three year funding from the Big Lottery Fund - Young People's Fund, which is supporting this project. We are now in the second year of funding.
The Voltaire Young People's Project is at Studio Voltaire on Saturday mornings, for young people with a learning disabilitiy aged 16-25. The group experiment with a whole range of materials and different techniques. They also visit local parks and sites.
The group have recently exhibited at Carnegie Library in Herne Hill Road (January - February 2007). This was a wonderful, colourful exhibition and there was press coverage in the local newspaper.
Before this project began, we ran sucessful art taster sessions at Paddock School and Generate in Wandsworth.
We worked at Paddock School during Art Week, where the children celebrated cultures from around the world.
